Kooba question?
Why did these become so popular?
Did some celebrity have one and then everyone wanted one?
Just curious.

I'm not 100% sure how it got started, but there are many pics of Sienna Miller carrying one. they named a style after her called what else but... "Sienna" 
I have to say - Kooba bags are SUCH HIGH quality! I was seriously shocked when I saw one in person for the 1st time. the leather is AMAZING and you can tell it is so well made!

well it says "Italian lambskin" on the kooba tag. not sure where they're made, but Coach, LV and many other high end bags are made in China, Haiti, etc.
and yea, I would not pay $600 for one!

I'm pretty sure they're manufactured in China. The Middle East isn't really known for the leather/handbag manufacturing. They're more fabrics.

yep... very true. it is annoying b/c back in the day (not even that long ago) all the higher end bags were made in Italy & France. not anymore!

Koobas weren't always that expensive ($200 or less). I was buying them before anybody had heard of them. Then all of a sudden Sienna Miller was spotted with one and I guess their sales went through the roof...and so did their prices.

They don't want to pay for anything and if they don't get it for free they won't pay
