Hi Everybody~

After speaking w/ a relative yesterday who told me not to feed Rudy Purina Beneful anymore (we both switched to it after the recall scare), I was sent this link w more info on pet food recalls. It seems pretty legit..Need to really read through it but...
What do you think?
So many people are saying the FDA is witholding information. Not a shocker I guess.
Who knows what to believe anymore.
Anyway, just passing this link along:

This recall stuff is just sick.

I don't reallly get that whole thing. When I went down to the Purina Beneful paragraph, I clicked on the DoggyBling site and they have a whole letter about how Beneful is bad for dogs. This seems to be based on the fact that one woman found mold inside the bag when she opened it and others said their dogs either got sick when they started eating Beneful (which usually happens to any dog when you switch their food) or that raccoons and cats died from eating Beneful.
I'm just not sure how much of this to believe - I've been feeding Misty Beneful and only Beneful for two years. Her behaviour hasn't changed and she doesn't seem sick.
And if it is true, why isn't the FDA reporting it. If there are so many deaths due to Beneful since January, I would think they would report it.
I just don't know how to react to this...

I just callled my Vet, and Purina...

this is 100% a bunch of bull....


this food is totally fine for our pets. So I just had a heart attack for nothing.

I know, I called my vet yesterday too & they said it's fine, but I'm still concerned.
I always fed Rudy Nutro b/c I liked the ingredients but since the recall I didn't know what food to use so I decided to go w/ Beneful b/c it wasn't on the recall list.

Like you, I thought this might be BS b/c it wasn't really telling you what the problem was w/ the food.

I don't want to scare anyone by any means, but if it IS true, I wouldn't want anyone's pets to become ill either.

Let's hope it isn't true!!!

I agree with you posting it so we are informed...it's just that when I really read the webpage it sounded alot like BS to me.

IF it is BS, I find it annoying that these people can get away with scaring the bejesus out of thousands of people and trying to ruin a brand names rep for no reason whatsoever.

Anyone know if Nutro Max dry food was affected? I didn't see it
