Bahamas Atlantis Review 5/907-5/13/07 (Destination Wedding)
I had always wanted to go to Atlantis, so i was SUPER excited when my SIL decided to get married there!!
Weds-we arrived by Jet Blue-and checked in. Our room wasnt ready yet, so we just hung around the pool/beach area till we got our room. We saw my IL's at that time...
It was about 85 degrees that day, and sunny.
At night, we went to dinner at Fathom's -which is a seafood restaurant-and it has an aquarium right in there, so you can watch the fish swim by (Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson ate there in one of their episodes)
Then we strolled around Marina Village, which is basically a little walkway with restaurants/shops.
Thurs-we woke up at 12:30!!! We were so tired-so we went to eat lunch at Johnny Rockets-and I saw my neighbors mother there! Haha-funny. She told us that this weekend was the grand opening of The Cove-a new tower at Atlantis, and that all celebrities would be there. Of course, I got all excited, lol.
It started to rain then, so we spend the rest of the day walking around, through the casino and The Dig-a cave aquarium.
That night, was the rehearsal dinner at Carmines-there was about 25 of us there and the service was excellent. The food was good, too. After dinner, we just walked around a bit more, then went to sleep.
Friday-We hung out mostly by the pool/water slides/tube rides. They were really fun, and the best part? No lines. It was really hot that day too.
Near the Lazy River, we got a drink at a stand and I saw Stephen Tyler from Aerosmith!!! He was in front of us buying something...then sat down at a table w/Liv & Chelsea Tyler! It was so kool! LOL
As we were walking back to our chairs, I spotted Rob Lowe!! I went right up to him and shook his hand. He was soooo cute and soo nice!!
Friday night was the wedding, and it was beautiful. They had it in a special area-overlookin the lagoon/one of the pools. The ceremony was short, sweet, and HUMID! LOL. The actual party was a couple of steps up.
They had a buffet dinner-the only kind you can really have at a wedding there. The food was aweseome tho. Lobster tails and filet mignon, etc.
The DJ was pretty good too-of course I had to embarrass myself. I sang "Slave 4 U" by Brit. Spears, and no, I wasnt drunk. lol. The wedding was from 6-10:30.
We were all sweaty and gross, so we went back and took showers, and w tried to get into the new club they have there, "Aura". ITs right in the Casino, and its from the owners of "Pure" in LV.
While we were trying to get in-I saw Tyrese~hes short!

We could not get in
 It was full and we had gone there too late, so we just hung out at this other bar there, Dragoon's. They play music and you can dance there-its right in the middle of the casino.
Then I wondered off and I saw Tyrese again, so I was just following him LOL
Sat was our last full day there-so we got up early and walked over to the new tower, the Cove, where all the celebs were staying. Its really not that big-but to use the pool/sundeck/cabanas that they have-you have to show your card. But you CAN walk on the beach behind the cabanas...I saw Gayle King in the lobby (Oprahs "best friend")
Then we went on the Jet Ski's-me and my DH. Well, needless to say, I wont do that again. We both fell off, climbed back on, then fell off again
 Then we were tryin to go back and the guys who rented it to us, made us jump off and go back w/them. I was a lil scared b/c of the sharks in the water. lol.
We didnt do all of the tube rides, so we went back.The Rapids-a tube ride is really good. Def do them.
Then BIL"s gf came back saying that she saw Jesse Metcalfe from Desperate Housewives, Holly Robinson Pete and Rob Lowe again.
So me and my SIL were like-we have to go see jesse! LOL. So both of us walked back to the Cove-on the beach and passed some cabanas-its really not a long stretch-maybe 10 cabanas. Walking,we saw Patrick Ewing in one of them. Then we turned around and walked back-and saw JEsse Metcalfe!!!! I started taking pics and he saw us, waved, and smiled. (NICCCCCE!!)
I wanted to show her the inside of the Cove, so we walked in there-and i realized there wasnt a guard there-for the entrance to the pools. So we snuck in!! Walked by the pools-its on the left hand side-then we were goin to start walkin over to the cabanas/bar area-but I noticed another guard when you were exiting-so I didnt want to get in trouble then. ( I realize NOW that they prob wouldnt have asked me for the card when exiting the cabana area ).So we went to walk on the beach again, but there was another guard there that said we coldnt walk on the beach, to go ask the towel girl. SOO we went to go ask her..and Patrick Ewing and his wife, Larry Johnson and his wife passed us. Hes a big motha!! LOL
Then they finally let us walk back on the beach-and we saw Star Jones hangin out there w/all her friends. There was a woman w/a hat and glasses on-we didnt know who it was then, but it must have been Tyra Banks.
Then we just hung out by the pool for a couple of hours-and me and DH went to dinner at Seafire Steakhouse-excellent steakhouse!!! I had the srhimp he had the filet-both were very good.
Then we met up w/his sis who got married, her husband, and their 2 friends. Since it was early, we tried to get in the club, anddddddddddd we got in!!!
We stayed mostly in the back-and AKON was 5 feet behind me the whole time w/his bodyguard. I wanted to go up to him n ask him for a pic soo bad-but I didnt want to get thrown out.
Spike Lee also came around there.
When we were leavin the club, Ashanti was going in.
Then Sunday we left at 11:30.
All in all, it was a greattttttttt trip, made it even better w/the celebrities there 
I walked so much though, I thinK i LOST weight LOL
My SIL and her new hubby stayed at the Cove Sun night till tonight-and she saw Nick Lachey & Vanessa-how cool!!!

Sounds like so much fun!! I love your dress and the bride looked beautiful. Her dress was gorgeous and so were her flowers.

WOW! Looks like you had an awesome time! I was in Marco's on the 5th and your SIL was telling me about it. The pics are beautiful and you look great as always 
Kudos to your SIL for picking such a great place and time to get married!

You look fabuuuulous as usual  and the bride was so pretty! Great place for a destination wedding!
Love all the pics, brings back good memories. DH & I went to Atlantis for our 'babymoon' last year but we certainly didn't see all the celebrities you did
