Using Frozen Egg Whites
Last month I made a Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding which called for 3 whole eggs (sounds reasonable) and a further 6 egg yolks (sinful, I know) anyway, the pud was delish and I was left with 6 egg whites.
So Nigella says that you can freeze egg whites and use them again in a meringue. So I froze them and defrosted them thinking I would make something yum with them and you know what. I chickened out and threw them away.
Has anyone ever cooked with frozen/defrosted egg white? Does it work??? Did you die from Salmonella???

I think the Salmonella is in the yolk.

I have used frozen egg whites that I bought in a carton. I defrosted them and used them without any problems
