AP Course Audit...

Have any of the AP teachers here had to complete this?

I just got the results of my submission and evidently, I need to re-do parts of it because there wasn't enough evidence to fulfill a couple of the requirements. Grrr....I've been teaching AP Lit pretty successfully for 6 years...stupid red tape BS!

Did you guys get your results yet? How'd you do?

P.S. Meanwhile, I'm not even teaching anymore; I became a SAHM...this sucks!

Mine went through ok, but I know a few people that it didn't. You're right, it is red tape BS!!

MY district didn't get their act together to tell me what my compensation would be before I left for maternity leave. So I left on Jan 26.

Would you believe my principal called me two weeeks after having the babies... April 10th... and asked if I wanted to do it? I was EBF at the time and barely had time to use the bathroom.

I taught AP World for 9 years (a ridiculous amount of work). This audit is actually working in my favor at this time because it is forcing someone else in my dept to take over the class and I will not be able to get it back when I return because I did not author the audit. I actually could not foresee a way I could teach it again and care for my so I am happy because I finally am rid of this prep.

Do they know you are not returning? Then they really should get someone else to do the rewrites because only the people who author the audit will be able to teach the course.

I completed the audit for AP U.S. history without any problems. I know, however, that some of my colleagues had to re-do parts of theirs. My husband had to also (he teaches Physics). Have fun and good luck!
