Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
We went on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas last February. It was the best vaca ever! It was a 7 day one, leaving out of Puerto Rico, stopping at Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin, and St. thomas. There was honestly nothing that I did not like!

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
Our last cruise was on RCCL's Sernade of the Seas in June 2006. We flew to Vancouver and cruised to Alaska. It was wonderful and a once in a lifetime trip. The only thing was that it was an older crowd by far, but we went with our larger family, so it was fun.
We are going on RCCL's Navigator of the Seas leaving on New Year's eve with 23 of our family members for my mom's 60ht birthday. We can't wait.
If you are trying to pick between RCCL and Carnival, I would do RCCL personally.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
we just got back Friday from our 1st cruise.
Royal Carribean : Grandeur of the Seas 5 nights to Bermuda
We had a great time! There was so much to do on the ship. Bingo, the casino, 2 pools, rock climbing wall, good shows. There were all kinds of people on board. If we did one again we would definitely go with a group. We had fun, but there were so many groups of people there that at times we kinda felt left out! The food was not great, but not bad. So, I would recommend it , but I don't have other cruises to compare it to since it was our 1st.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
I've been hearing great things about RCCL and based on the last couple of posts most seem to like it.
We looked on the RCCL website earlier and saw a few nice cruises. I like how you can view an entire ship on the website!
Thanks for all your input, i'll let you know what we decide.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
We just went on Royal Caribbean/ Adventure of the Seas.
It left from Puerto Rico and went to St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Antigua, and Barbados.
I loved Royal Caribbean, and had a great time. There was so much to do, and the boat was huge. I highly recommend leaving from Puerto Rico. The Plane ride was not much farther then Florida (Only about one hour more), and the boat stops at more places. I also recommend a Eastern Caribbean cruise, over a Western Caribbean.
Another great cruise line is Princess and Celebrity. Princess has plenty of cruises leaving from Florida.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
I've been on three RCCL cruises and had a fantastic time each time. And I have Mariner of the Seas coming up in November and Adventure of the Seas next May. I think Royal is the best way to go at this point. Carnival is just a bit too tacky/cheesy for my taste. When I'm nearing 50, I'll probably check out a Celebrity cruise.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
what cruiseline? Royal Caribbean-Explorer of the Seas
where did it leave from and where did it stop? NJ-St. Thomas (did not get to go because of hurricane), St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Labadee, Haiti
likes/dislikes... would you recommend it? We won the cruise. We had a great time except for the sea sickness as we went during hurricane season. I would do it again in a second though!

Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas...Southern Caribbean. We left out of Puerto Rico and went to Aruba, Curacao, St Thomas and St Maartin. It was the BEST vacation.
I've been on Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Disney. Disney is #1 in cruising. Everything was EXCELLENT!
Don't even touch Carnival.

RC is geared for younger people. I think you'd have a great time with RC.

Re: The last CRUISE you went on...
DH and I went on a Carnival cruise when we were dating and I hated it, but I've heard that Princess is a lot nicer. I would not recommend a Carnival cruise.

We did this cruise on 7/29 and loved it as well. I don't know why Carnival gets such negativity. :
