Also, always keep them hydrated. I swear, I have been a lip balm addict since 2nd grade and I haven't had chapped lips in years.

Carmex fan here. My derm recommended it to me when I was on Accutane and I've been using it ever since! I keep tubes of it everywhere.

First, you need to keep hydrated - drink lots of water.
Then you need to exfoliate. I do it when brushing my teeth - just rub the brush over my lips...some people use a wet washcloth.
After that...(and I've tried everything listed here and a whole lot more -lipbalm is an addiction of mine)...apply some Burt's Bees. Tingly, soft, and it has coconut oil (which, imo, is second only to shea butter).

I bought this organic Lip balm at Trader Joes...it is awesome! Feels so good on my lips and it also has a SPF 15. It's in the green and white tube.
