SO FRUSTRATED AND NEED TO VENT
Still no call and/or rejection letter from the LI school district interview I had a last month. It was the 2nd interview. I was up against 3 others for a POSSIBLE probationary position. The principal was trying to sell me to the committee. I don't get it! By now I guess my chances are over, but why didn't I get a rejection letter? I always have in the past.
I did contact the principal via e-mail like 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and she said no decision was made yet. By now, they must have made one!
Back to Queens I go---from Medford. I am dreading my commute!

Iam so sorry. 
They are so rude.
At least you have a job to go back to, I can't even get on in Queens!
And I know, the commute must suck, I live in Selden, so what does it take you about an hour and a half???

Don't give up yet - I interviewed three weeks ago and never heard anything....until today when I got 2 msgs - one from the principal and then next one from the district office telling me about new teacher orientation - so its not over until its over!! I know I am a hypocrit since I had given up hope myself, but it could still happen!

I leave at 5:40 AM and get there about 7:00. I like to avoid traffic in the AM. I run out of school at 3:00 and on a good day which is rare I am home at 4:50 but usually around 5:15..it's AWFUL!!

That stinks! If it makes you feel any better I commute from Centereach to Manhattan and I am 5 months pregnant!

same thing happened to FH...did his demo, they LOVED him, was up against one other teacher - never got a letter or a phone call..so rude.
eta: He goes from Setauket to Bayside, so he feels your pain. AND they have a late schedule since there are so many kids, and this year is his late turn

Don't give up yet, maybe call them one more time on Monday. What do you have to lose right. Some districts send you letters while others do not. It really sucks, I know exactly how you feel. It took me 5 years to get a probationary position on the island..

that happened to me . I interviewed in Bayshore, they liked me, asked me to do a demo and it went very well. I never got a letter or even a phone call! I really think it is so wrong to leave someon hanging like that!!
