teaching procedures?
How do you role play your procedures with your kids in the beginning of the year?
I think I am going to split them up into groups and give each group a scenario and give them 10 minutes to come up with a skit modeling good/bad behavior for the scenario and then share them with the class. I thought I'd print the scenarios on little strips of paper and put them in balloons and then they'd have to pop the balloons to read their missions - make it a little more exciting.
Anyone have a better way to do this?
Which procedures would you do? Here's my running list...
- morning procedure -group work -packing up -on the rug mini lesson behavior -accountable talk -lining up -when you come back from being absent -good questioning/listening
Please help me fine tune this! It's for 4th gr...

Re: teaching procedures?
I love this for my kids too! I usually model, model, model, but I like the idea of giving the KIDS the scenario to role play...thanks!
