Weight Watchers Weigh In Question

Today I weighed in at my local WWers versus the one at the office.

I was floored that one of the receptionists commented aloud on every person she weighed. She would say "You're up an eighth of a pound" or "Oh you lost 1.2 pounds".

I waited & got weighed by the second receptionist.

At work, the most the receptionist says is "Oh very good."

I was thinking I could start going locally to WWers meetings but now I'm reconsidering my decision.

Is this common? Are they even supposed to say anything about your weight?

eta. also if anyone knows of a better WWers in Western Suffolk, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Weight Watchers Weigh In Question

At my old one they didn't announce it but they told you only if you lost...So you would stand on that scale and weight to hear them say something.

THe one I go to now they don't say anything either way

No but I guess I won't be going there either.Chat Icon

Why would they think we would want this said out loud?Chat Icon I didnt' even gain - I'm supposed to be on maintenance. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be for me to deal with that every week.

Re: Weight Watchers Weigh In Question

All of the ones I've gone to usually either don't say anything or say it quietly, to just you. I've never had an issue with other's overhearing my weigh in.

Re: Weight Watchers Weigh In Question

I go to bayshore the girl usually will say what I went down. If I gained if it's .02 or 04 she just says you stayed almost the same if it's anything more that that she usually doesn't say anything.

You can try saying to them before you get on the scale I don't want to know either way I rather read it.

Mine will say "ok hun I gotcha" and then I step down. I wouldn't want the weigh'er in'er to say anything. If you are uncomfortable definitely say something to her.

Re: Weight Watchers Weigh In Question

Where I go, you can weigh-in at 2 closed "booths" if you are pre-paid, which I do. It is a private weigh-in. If you are not pre-paid, you do have to weigh-in at the counter with the receptionist, but I have never heard anyone complain that anything is announced . . .

ETA: I go in Eastern suffolk . . .
