I wanted to check out the dog park today but wasn't sure if I need a rec card to do so. Thanks in advance!

If you have a Suffolk County Green Key Card you will only pay $3 to get in...if not it's $5 or $8 to get in. It's not necessary to have a Green Key Card...

We just came back. I didn't realize that hubby had a Green Key card. We weren't charged because it was after Labor Day. Maggie had fun. They have a little section for smaller dogs and a larger section for the big guys. Maggie is on the smaller side but was able to run with the best of them in the big area.
The weird thing is that when you walk in, it looks like it's only fenced on 3 sides with woods on the fourth. However, I found that the fence goes around a portion of the woods with a u shaped trail on the perimeter or the woods. (does that make sense?) So, a dog could run into the fenced in woods if he/she wanted to. I thought it would be a problem but most of the dogs would poke around for a bit and then go to the main field with the others.
