4 days, 3 nights in the middle of January
I need ideas!!
driving or flying doesn't matter- but i dont really want a flight that's much more than 3 hours or a drive that's more than 5.
Originally we were thinking of a warm climate, but we're open to anything if it's a nice resort that offers a great experience (relaxing but fun, etc...)
we went to the Dominican republic last january, and have been to Puerto Rico and Nassau twice, as well as a bunch of other islands, so we're not really looking into the carribean, either.
The only thing that DH has come up with is Disney .. but we were just there last month
Any ideas???
TIA!!!

How about somwhere like Dallas or Houston? New Orleans or Miami? Savannah or Alanta? .. places that are 'warmer' but not too hot and are interesting ...

I always go skiing in January. We are big fans of Whiteface in Lake Placid and many resorts in Vermont.
If you want warmer weather, how about Cancun? It is about 3-4 hours.

I'd love to go back to Savannah - I went once, just overnight and thought it was a beautiful city.
I'd also be interested in Charleston, SC. It was one of the Today show's "America the Beautiful" nominees.
Sedona, AZ and Santa Fe, NM are great, but further than you want to fly, I am pretty sure.

What about the Florida Keys or Palm Beach area?

We're going this week...I can give you a "review" if you want, when I return.
I would also suggest places like New Orleans, Atlanta...Austin is supposed to be fun. Totally different spectrum, but the Berkshires are beautiful (would be cold/snowy). Hilton Head is fun - but more of a fraternity-type place...there are a bunch of islands off the coast of Georgia that are supposed to be gorgeous. The Florida Keys.
