I work in a kindergarten center however there are Special Ed classes that are 1st and 2nd grade

I work in a kindegrarten center too!
I would say you need a library in a k-2 school, gym/music/art program (we acutally only have music and art in my school though!), you would also need a cafeteria and/or multipurpose room (something with a real or portable stage for assemblies!)..thats my quick 2 cents!

you most definately need a place where they can have all their specials, aka, art, music, gym, library and technology/computer lab)
A cafeteria, a health room/nurses office, main office where admin is
also a must have is an after school program, for example the local Y comes and has a program at our school.
If you plan on having any special ed children in your school, make sure you have the accomadations for them as well.
