I need help wtih my college class...Art Related

We had to pick an artist from a book. My artist is Winslow Homer. We have to write a lesson plan using his technique. Homer liked to use watercolors painting to make things appear very near and faded colors to look very far. He would paint a picture and then saturate the painting in water to make all the colors mesh together. Then, take a felt pen and trace the outline of the painting. Does this make sense?


Any ideas?

maris our art teacher does water color with our kids.

she has them draw a picture of animals and their surrounds in black sharpie parker then they use water colors to paint it. they come out really really nice.

I wish i paid more attention to her lesson so i could help you out.

I think she comes in tomorrow. I can try to ask her!

My class is using watercolors to make a story flip book in art. They learned to blend the colors and how a "dot or glob of paint isn't a mistake" but if you outline it in sharpie it can become a story. I love it!
