Another CST multi-subjects Question...
How many questions were math, and what type of math questions were they?

It's hard to say because unlike the practice tests where the questions are in sections, on this test, they all just were lumped together. I mean, the math questions were together followed by the science questions, etc, but there was no header saying "Math". But I'd say about 18-20. I remember a question about finding the area of a pool. Honestly, I got my scores back and on the math, I got a 300. You will be fine!!! Trust me!

How DO you find the area of a pool???? Do you add all of them together - all the sides, or just multiply 2 sides???

to find the area, you multiply the length times the width.

Are the questions easier than the ones in the Cliff notes book? I dont understand them at all!!!

never saw the Cliff notes version, i just took the one sample test on-line and passed the test with flying colors. honestly, it's not that bad. try not to stress... any other questions i can help you with?

Is there a lot of focus on commutative properties, associative, etc, percentages, things like that?
and how many questions are you allowed to get wrong and still pass the test?

Honestly, I don't remember... I took this test about 5 years ago. But I do remember it being math that I can do, and let's just say math is NOT my strong suit...never was and I passed without a problem.
I think they tell you on the testing website how many you can get wrong and still pass. also, you can fail a subarea and still pass the overall test.
