SUBs- anyone else "all subb'd out!??"
I truly get so sick of subbing. It's great to work whenever I want, but the lack of progression and accomplishment is getting to me. Im a very driven personality, and this bouncing around is not cutting it
(although im not searching aggressively at all )
Anyway, another thing I wanted to mention, was that I'm TIRED of teachers thinking they can make comments to a sub "just because"...
I took a class to music. The plans specific 10:35-take them to music. we left at 10:35,36 (yes some teachers count the milliseconds ) so we get to music at like 10:38... ( I wasnt completely sure as to whether it was a 10:35 class or 10:40, so I figured smack in the middle is perfect. not too late. and she had written 10:35-take them to music, not 10:40 MUSIC. kwim???
well I get to music, and the teacher has this face and says "oh wow youre VERYYYYY EARLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as she looks at the clock
and I told her the plans said 10:35, and she goes "no, 10:40 (and it was now 10:39)...
so I smiled and bit my tongue.
is she kidding me ?????????
and this has happened before, where one teacher's "plans" dont coincide with another's plans. and I usually have the SUB PLANS with me to kindly show the sweet wonderful teacher that is questioning me..
vent over
Im so done with this.

Re: SUBs- anyone else "all subb'd out!??"
I know my hubby is a perm sub and has been since last jan. It is very hard at times because he wants his own class and his own lesson plans. But he gets so mad because he puts out so many resumes and no phone calls. How are you surposed to get experience if you can't even get your foot in the door. I hope something works out for you. I know what you are going thru.

Re: SUBs- anyone else "all subb'd out!??"
I guess subs are not even "allowed" or entitled to complain (based on the response to my post )
Im in it for the schedule and the convenience of working whenever I want. (for this temporary time in my life that my kids are so little)...
we're all wayy overqualified otherwise
I'd love to give a teacher back her plans with my corrections in red
sorry, teachers, just busting chops.

Anna, it may not be a "sub" thing. There are a few special area teachers in my school who would say the same thing to any other teacher! Very annoying, no matter WHO you are!
