Re: another HSG question

I went to work and took 2 Motrins about 1/2 before the procedure. I felt relatively fine, a little cramping and uncomfortable.

ETA: The whole procedure sounded worse then it actually was. The cathiter was the most difficult part and that felt like a bad period cramp. I think it hurts more if your tubes do have a blockage. It is pretty interesting watching the dye though.

No Dh wasn't with me. He really doesn't need to be there. It's shown to you on the screen and you see the dye in your uterus and then flow out your tubes if they're are clear. They may make you turn to one side or another to make the dye flow.

Re: another HSG question

Everyone reacts differently to the HSG but I think most would be able to go back to work.

I had to be at work at 1:00, if I'd had to go right after I dont think I would have been able to.

Re: another HSG question

I had it done towards the end of the day. But, I could've gone back to work if I had to. I felt fine afterwards.

Re: another HSG question

It is really different with everyone as far as how you feel. I didn't go back because it was late in the day already. I am glad I didn't. If you can afford to be off, I would recommend it.
