Anyone teach in the city and live in Connecticut?
Just wondering. I will be moving to Connecticut, my husband got relocated. I love my job in Queens. Time wise the commute is not that bad.. just wondering if anyone does something like this.

Wow, that may be rough! Where in Queens? My bro lives in Stamford & I used to live in Whitestone & w/ no traffic we could make it in under 40 minutes, but during rush hour?? Also that toll will be killer...you may though leave early enough where you may miss the brunt of the traffic.
For a few years I was commuting from Suffolk to Woodside & that wasn't fun...no bridges, but some days it took me over 2 hours. It wears on you though.

I get in at 7ish so there's no traffic..it takes about 40 min. I've done it a couple of times. I wouldn't do this forever. It's basically til we decide for sure where we will def. be staying. We will be right near Stamford.. Darien.

My SIL lives in Stamford and teaches in the Bronx. Her commute via Metro North isn't bad.
You shouldn't hit too much traffic going there since you'll be leaving pretty early, but it may be a PITA coming home.
