I have a lump
I have a lump under my chin that seems to be getting bigger.
I do plan to go to my doctor sometime this week if it doesn't go away.
At first, I thought I bumped it or something, but it's been there for a week now and doesn;t seem to be decreasing in size.
Someone suggested that it might be a pimple, (ew) but there isn't anything visbale on my skin etc etc.
what could this be? A cyst? a TUMOR???

Agree with everyone else about going to the dr.
For your own peace of mind, DH has something similar on his back. It just appeared and started getting bigger. It's a cyst, nothing serious.

I have a lump on the side of my face along my jaw
it's a blocked saliva duct... it cannot be taken out b/c it's in such a place that to get it out would cause lots of scars.
it gets bigger and smaller depending upon my hormones. (weird)- around Ovulation it gets bigger and more tender, and then it goes down.
Or- if I get an infection the same thing.
i would go to doc to check it out... but i'm sure it is nothing major.

Could be a cyst. But I would get it checked out. A cyst that get's infected could turn into a staph infection and that is not pretty.

how do they treat cysts?
Do they remove them?

It must be a swollen lymph node, I had that too, does it hurt? When I first noticed mine it there was little pain, in 2 days or so pain went away ,but the lump got bigger, one morning I woke up and it was gone, I had it for about 2 weeks. I was going to see a doc , but I never did, you should def see one just to be safe.

if I push on it, it it feels like a bruise...

I can totally relate to your fears. Last month I found a small lump in my armpit next to my breast. I had my gyno take a look and he sent me for a mammo and a sonogram. Thankfully it is only a small cyst. I was given the option of surgery or just to keep an eye on it. Since it is small and doesn't hurt, I chose just to keep an eye on it. I hope yours turns out as uneventful as mine did.

yes exactly, first 2 days it hurt me even if I didn't push on it, after 2days it only hurt a little if I did. OH and I got a really bad cold soon after, so I think my body was trying to fight it off, that's why my lymph node was swollen.
