olas ?

My sister is looking for a job, and some districts require you to fill out an olas application. If you fill out olas once, do you have to do it again for other jobs in other districts or is a database that holds all your info? Should she send a paper resume too, or is that too much? I got my position before olas, when paper resumes were just fine. This all seems very confusing and impersonal. Thanks for your help.

You only need to fill out the application once. When you click on a position and press "apply" it sends the application to the district. However, you can upload a specific cover letter for each district (in addition to your resume and generic cover letter).
Most districts that require OLAS ONLY want online, no paper resumes. I tried sending a paper one once and I all I got was a postcard saying that I needed to apply on OLAS to be considered. HTH

I do both, olas and paper resume.
