A couple strange questions
I am a regular poster but for privacy reasons wanted to ask these questions under an alias If anyone could help that would be most appreciated
1) If you were definitely PREGNANT (but did not know you were PG) would you be getting "POSITIVES" on the OPKs? Or for those who use the Clear Blue monitor, if you were PG would you get a "peak" reading on the Clear Blue monitor?
2) How probable is it to get what you *think* is your AF, but it turns out you were pregnant all along? Full, fairly regular flow, not just spotting or implantation...
3) Is it possible to have gotten BFNs when pregnancy testing but it wound up that you were PG all along (even though what you thought was AF came and went?)
So confused! Help!!!
THANK YOU

Re: A couple strange questions
These are good questions for redstar..she would know all this best but I can try..
1) I believe you would get a positive because those OPK's would pick up the HCG but I dont know that its 100% like a HPT would be..
2) I have heard of woman having their periods but I dont think its " normal" and Its not a common thing.More times its probably a M/C.
3)Im sure its possible to test to early and get a BFN and be pregnant but I dont know how common it would be if you were far enough along to still still get a BFN.
If you got AF and are testing negative on the HPT's then I would say you probably arent pregnant. You can always go to the doctor and take a blood test, that would be the only way to know 100%.

Re: A couple strange questions

If you are getting peak readings on the fertility monitor, or let's say the line near the wick you pee on is clearly darker than the other line...and it's not during your ovulation time frame ...you may be PREGNANT.
If you are pregnant those sticks are as reliable as hpts. It just takes a bit more hcg to show up on those sticks than for epts. Opks can also be positive.
2) How probable is it to get what you *think* is your AF, but it turns out you were pregnant all along? Full, fairly regular flow, not just spotting or implantation...
Many women can get what seems to be light bleeding during their pregnancy. If there was cramping and clotting however, usually that's a true AF or a possible reason to suspect ectopic.
3) Is it possible to have gotten BFNs when pregnancy testing but it wound up that you were PG all along (even though what you thought was AF came and went?)
Yes
