Applying for Unemployment as a teacher?
I definitely a little late in filing and even asking about this but does anybody know how unemployment benefits work if your a teacher?
I just filed my claim and have to wait to talk to a representative tomorrow.
I'm hoping unemployment can be retroactive considering I haven't worked since May 1st.
Also how does this figure in with summer pay? I'm supposed be getting summer pay I was told since I worked 8 months of the 10, but as I'm not about to step foot in my former school, it not like I had gotten pay stubs today to verfiy that.
If anyone has any advice or knows about this please let me know. If u dont want to post on here you can FM me as well. thx

Re: Applying for Unemployment as a teacher?
is this even possible? some districts (including mine) don't even pay you over the summer and spread the salary over 10 months, so they could argue you're not eligible until September.
good luck getting your money from the city...they're such a-holes and never get anything right in terms of pay stubs, etc..
