I had a reaction to..
a medication I started this afternoon. I have a itchy rash all over my body. I took 2 Benedryl tablets 2 hours ago and I am still in agony.
Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone know how long this can last?

Calomine (sp?) lotion maybe

What medication? I've heard this is a normal reaction to amoxycillan, believe it or not.

Did you call your doctor? Sometimes in more severe reactions they prescribe steroids.

When my son had a bad reaction to penicillin (he had really bad hives) they prescribed Xantac for him and it helped tremendously. You might want to try it - I don't think it could hurt.
I found a website that says they use Xantac for hives (if that's what it is for you).
