Does anyone know what a high platelet count means?

I have to go for more testing, but anyone familiar with this or what might cause it ?

not sure how high yours was but here are some things i googled for you. platelets cause clotting or lack of clotting depending how many you have. if you are high that usually means you clot fast and you might need to "thin" out your blood somewhat. hope this helps!
