Risperdal Oral
Does anyone have any experience with this medication? My nephew was recently prescribed it for some of his behaviors associated with autism.

I don't think they know fully yet the impact it has on children so young. It a heavy duty antipsychotic given to people for schizophrenia. lately, it is being widely used in autism spectrum children and kids with ADHD. It scares the crap out of me.

 My nephew is 7. His doctor seemed really optimistic about using it.
Whatever negative impact that you are worried about. . . is it something that would continue after the medication is stopped?

I don't want to fighten you, bc I am not a doctor, so your best bet is to do plenty of research and speak to your doctor!

Thanks  The research is what is scaring me!! Argh, I can't really talk to the doctor since he isn't my child. I just hope it all works out for him
