Credit Courses at Dellecave, Leeds
I'm thinking of taking credit courses at Dellecave, Leeds, the Long Island Institute for Educators (LILIE) or the Long Island Institute of Professional Studies (LIIPS).
I've been told conflicting things about them by colleagues, so I'd be very interesting to hear what other people's experiences have been.
In particular I'd like to know how easy or hard the courses are, how much work is required, what the assignments are like and how long they take.
Also, is it true that some of these places let you out of their classes way early.

Dellecave courses are great! the times are covenient and they are VERY affordable if you take the 3 credits for in-services.
Some courses get out early, but they have been cracking down on that a bit.
They are EASY! i have gotten some good information from them and NO stress. granted, i have taken them for in-service credit and not graduate, but even the assignments for the grad. students don't seem that difficult or time consuming.

ITA- I have taken Dellecave courses as well and they are great- informative but not too much work. I took one for grad credit and the assignment was to present a lesson we would do based on what we learned in the course.

I took a bunch of dellecave this summer and I LOVE that they arent streched out over SO many week likes some other grad courses. They were easy and informative.

How so?
I never thought of them. What are the courses like? Much work. What do they want for assignments? What do they expect for graduate courses?

there aren't that many Nassau sites. they do sometimes use the Henry Viscardi school as a site which is in Albertson on Searingtown Road.
Most of there sites are in Suffolk. They mainly use their building in Bohemia, but there are other sites, which I have never been to, but they are listed on the website.

DH has taken a few Dellacave courses and thinks they're great. And quick!! A few days of being in class and BANG! Credits completed.
