Did I make a mistake
I had an interview today. I had to fill out a form before I went into the interview writing my current salary, and my desired salary.
I wrote the number i would ideally like to make. That was before I found out about the hours, bonus structure, benefits, etc... Of course that number is negotiable However, i'm concerned that maybe I put myself out of the running by a high salary demand. Should I call the HR guy or let him know its negotiable in my thank you letter, or just let it go?
I never discussed my salary demands with anyone. It was just what I put down in the paper.

I don't think it hurt your chance.
If they think you're a good candidate - they'll call and discuss the salary then.

I agree with Jenn. I don't think a higher salary demand would stop them from making you an offer. I wouldn't mention it in your thank you letter either.
Don't worry! I'm sure it'll be fine.
GOOD LUCK!!

I agree -- do not call or mention it. You never know, you could just get what you asked for!

No, if they really want you they will negotiate with you...even if what you put down is higher than what their range is....unless we are talking like $25k+ more...you should be ok.

It was alot. That is why i am so nervous.
However, I told them what I am currently making. I didn't tell them that I was leaving to make more money (I'm not). I really just discussed looking for a new opportunity. I guess with their bonus structure, I wouldn't
It said "Desired salary", so I put what I desire. It's not SO crazy for the field. Plus, I saw on one website it is their starting salary, but I think that was a mistake.
