Marathon training plan?
Anyone have one they have used and liked? There are sooo many online. I've heard that Hal Higdon's book is good.
Some background- currently I am not running. I got super lazy when I got my new job back in Januray and my only activity at the moment is walking the mile back and forth to work and then walking the dog at night.
I used to run a decent amount 3-4 miles a day, I never had the motivation to do more.
Pittsburgh is restarting its Marathon in May 2009. I know I have enough time to get myself in shape, I just need a plan to follow so I feel like I have to keep going when I get sick of running at the 4 mile mark.
Thanks!

Re: Marathon training plan?
I love Hal Higdon and use him as a guide for all my training - sometimes more loosely than others.
He has all levels of marathon training.

Re: Marathon training plan?
if you want i can email you my training plan and the miles i have been running to get ready for NY marathon. its 11/2 and i do feel very prepared, but not over-worked.
I have always been a runner, though only started doing half marathons over the past year or so and decided to do the full marathon for the first time this year.
let me know if you would like to see it...its an excel so i can email it to you.
