GHI question

I am covered under DH (NYC teacher) health care - we have GHI for NYC employees.

I recently went to the OB/GYN for a 6 mo. visit (bc of BC) - it is considered a preventative care visit - and GHI rejected the visit and said it isn't covered for dependents.

Is this the case? GHI said that is what was negotiated for the city? If this is true that stinks

Maybe it depends on the rider DH has with GHI. ( Ex- CBP, etc.)? I would call the dr's office and GHI. 1-212-501-4444
HTH. I would think they would want to pay because you are trying to make sure all is okay with your health. I would def. fight it.
