observation help
i need help! i am a first year teacher and my first observation is wed. i planned on doing a writing lesson, but because i am strong in science and math the principal would like to see a lesson.
currently i am teaching mult/dividing fractions and in science-magnets and gravity.
any ideas on something that would wow him?

i don't have suggestions for those particular topics, but if you're strong in those areas, than do what you normally do. he wants to see a good solid lesson. you don't need to have the whistles blowing and the whole 9 yards. you'll only stress yourself out making the lesson into this big thing that it normally isn't. overall though i would include some sort of differentiated instructions (hands-on, visual, etc. and make sure you have some teacher led, then students independently working and then you tying it all up.
