Re: TMJ Disorder Dr?
I was just going to ask the same question. I suffer with TMJ terribly. I've been to doctors, oral surgeons, ENT's, a chriropractor, and even tried accupuncture. So far I've gotten no relief and it's just getting worse. It affects my left ear really bad. I was looking for a doctor in the New Hyde Park area. I went to Long Island Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Mineola. They were very nice, but just told me to have a bite plate made by a regular dentist. I know of 2 dentists of Long Island. One is Donald R. Tanenbaum he located at 525 Townline Rd. Hauppauge, NY 11788 There is also Barry C Cooper he's at 1315A Broadway Hewlett, NY 11557 I've been thinking of going to Dr. Tannenbaum. But, I didn't really want to travel to Hewlett.

Re: TMJ Disorder Dr?
I have a great dr!!! Has offices in Nassau and Suffolk. But he is pricey, and his mouthplates are pricey. I will post his info if you wish.
ETA - I just looked above and you posted him. Dr. Tannennbaum. I have been to him a few times. Nice man.

Both Drs are who I heard of as well.
How much is Pricey? I dont understand how this awful thing is not covered by insurance. What does the mouth plate run?

My mouthplate by Dr. T cost $1000 (or 1300 I forget but pretty sure it's $1000). Last time I went to him for simply adjusting it, it cost me about $300. Luckily my insurance reimburses some of that.
