Re: carpal tunnel
if you go to a nerologist or a hand specialist they will move your hands and tap in places as a preliminary test.
they will then send you for an EMG which is a test where they stick little needs in your hand/wrist/arm to test nerve sensations.
the test will confirm CT.
Some treatment is a brace for night time, cortisone shots or surgery.
I have gone for cold laser therapy and that didn't help me at all.
I just scheduled surgery for feb.
I was suppose to have in 2 years ago after DD was born but then found out I was PG with DS so I never went through with it.

Re: carpal tunnel
I have all the symptoms, but haven't been tested. Thanks, Mrs. Schwags for the info. I need to see a specialist soon. Good luck w/your surgery.

Re: carpal tunnel
I had an EMG With a neurologist to confirm it.
I got orthotic night braces and wear them every night and did a few months of physical therapy when I was first diagnosed. Nothing helped.
I have an appnt with my PCP next Fri to discuss surgery

Sorry to hear that the p.t. didn't help. I really wanted to avoid the surgery since the recovery is long. Good luck.
