My husband fainted this morning....
This morning at 2 am my DH got up to go to the bathroom and passed out while urinating. I heard a huge crash and ran to find him onthe floor, sweaty, disoriented with the bridge of his nose gashed open. All he remember is peeing hard, getting dizzy and being on the floor. The water in the sink was running when I got there so I think he tried to splash himself with cold water. Afterward he was ok, we sat up for a bit. I rushed him to doc today and they did an ekg, tomorrow bloodwork at Quest, next Wed., an echo. I just posted a day or so ago also that he feels a lump in his right testicle so we also see a urologist next Wed.
Today before the doc I googled "fainting while urinating" and I found a condition called Micturition Syncope. It is exactly what happened to DH. I was so freaked out all day, he could have hit his head and it could have been much worse!

The same thing happened to my dh about a year ago. The dr said it actually is a semi-common thing to happen and it happened because his blood pressure was low (he had just gotten up from laying down).
