boiling water
last night i was emptying a pasta pot and the water splashed back at me and landed on my right foot we stuck my foot in a bucket of ice water its better now but it burned all night i have a big blister in the middle of my foot and some along my toes anyone have any ideas what i can do because i cannot put a sock of shoe on

I actually just completed an "office first aid" course and they covered burns.
We were told NEVER to put ice water on a burn- only room temperature. That's probably what caused the bubbling.
See if someone can get to the drugstore for you to pick up some antibiotic burn cream - wrap it loosely with gauze, and wear your biggest shoes with COTTON socks. I think uggs would be perfect! Take some advil or motrin or other ibuprofen for the swelling.
You have to be really careful it doesn't get infected. Watch it today and if it starts oozing pus, call your Dr. You may need oral antibiotics.
Hope you feel better soon!!!

thanks!!!! i used really cold water and then when we had to go home i walked outside with no shoe and hopped to the car byt the time i got home it was all bubbled i guess from the cold air
im going to send my friend for the cream and gauze Thanks soo much!!!

Really watch that- burns can easily turn into worse. My mom got a burn (from hot water) on her hand, and after a couple of days she noticed it was turning colors- she went to the dr and he gave her an antibiotic and said it was starting to become Gangreen.  Please be careful with those burns and keep an eye on them! Feel better!

 I know that pain!!
I did the exact same thing many years ago when I was a teenager.
It was bad. My mother took me to the drug store pharmacist and showed him what happened and they gave her a really good burn cream. I couldn't wear shoes for two weeks in the winter, only lose fitting sandals because the blister was GINORMOUS. Put burn cream on it, wrap it in gauze and dont put pressure on it.

it doesnt hurt anymore just huge blisters im afraid to wrap it cuz i dont want it to burst so i just have it out
