Romantic weekend getaways....... any suggestions?
We would like to get away for a little romantic getaway (like 2-3 nights) ... but we aren't sure where to go.
We have been to the Poconos (Cesars) before... but I don't want a resort. I want a little town where we can get out, do some shopping, go to a nice restaurant, maybe go to a spa together...
Anyone have any ideas? Something not too far, like 4-5 hours TOPS.. ideally 2-3

this is exactly what DH and i were looking for and we went to Hershey...
i know sounds silly but we stayed at the Hershey Hotel (rooms were a bit tiny) but it had the feel of a bed and breakfast so i loved it!!! and we got the package that was called.. "bed and breakfast" we stayed friday night and sat. night.. sat. morning we woke up and had a wonderful buffet breakfast in the beautiful dining rooms! we LOVED IT! then we took the tour of hershey, went to hershey world, saw a show at the theather. IT was exactly what we want!!! if you want more info FM me!

DH and I love going out east. Greenport, Sag Harbor, Shelter Island... they're beautiful towns, quiet, and not that far away.

We did 2 nights at the Montauk Manor a few years ago. The place is so cool, we got massages, went to the lighthouse, had some nice dinners in town and even went to the beaches.
It was great

How about Mystic CT? You can see the old town, boats and aquarium and have nice dinners in the little restaurants they have there.
