iTunes / iPod syncing question
My iPod won't sync. It won't give me the option to sync even though I have it plugged in. I tried it a bunch of different ways - opening iTunes then plugging in the USB cord, plugging in the cord first, having the iPod on and plugging it in, having it off, etc. Nothing works. We even have two cords and neither is giving me the option to sync. I created a new playlist and I think there are also songs that are on my iTunes but not on the iPod yet. Anyone know what's wrong? How do I fix it??

Re: iTunes / iPod syncing question
UH-OH! I had this same problem. I tried EVERYTHING! I tried all trouble shooting (reset ipod, re-install Itunes, new cords, EVERYTHING!)-PS dont waste your time on this crap. I finally went to the Apple store for an evaluation and they said the motherboard on my ipod was messed up and therefore wouldnt sync...if that makes sense. It was not something that could be fixed either!
Is your ipod still under warranty? Mine wasnt and I was so mad. I had called apple like 3-4 times and was under warranty all those times and when I finally go to the store...my warranty was up. I b*itched and complained over and over to customer service and write letters and finally got someone to listened and they sent me a new ipod for free!
Good luck - but if I were you have them test it at an apple store. It was free (this was 2 yrs ago)

I am pretty sure it's not under warranty anymore - I got it almost 2 years ago. Somone else just told me that for her, resetting it worked. If that doesn't work, I will go to the ipod store tomorrow, there is one really close to me. If I have to buy a new one -- I'll just stick with what I have for now I guess!
