Has anyone had stool w/ sorry TMI
blood ? I am passing tissuey bloody stuff  and I have been having terrible stomache pains for 12 hrs now ! I was wondering if it could be food poisoning? Again sorry about the TMI

Is it bright red? Have you felt pain when using the bathroom? It could be a fissure or hemmroid if so - I would call your dr. either way.

Yes it is bright red ! No I don't feel pain when I go ! This totally succckkks

DH just went thru this this week. What a nightmare it was. He told me at 8:30 PM at night that he has been having this for a few days. We ended up going to a walk in clinic b/c we were trying to avoid an ER. Of course the dr we go to is closed at that hr, they took one look at his problem , so to speak, and got us really scared- they said he was bleeding from his stomach and probably has a bleeding ulcer- it scared the cr$%p out of me/us. Lesson learned walk in clinics are good for a cold or sore throat. We went right to the ER and it was an internal bleeding hemmorid. They gave him precription cream and stool softener, and told him to eat more fiber, drink water when his stool was not passing well, and bulk up when it is passing as a runny stool Sorry if TMI. He followed up with the internist who told him the same thing, and if he wanted to he can go to a proctologist to triple check it, but the internist said it was shrinking, a scab was forming, etc. So it is up to my DH if he wants to triple check it. They told him as long as it stopped. The blood was bright red. You can try over the counter hemmroid cream etc. Feel free to FM mail . Hope you feel better. If you have any doubts get right to a dr. asap.

Have you had surgery recently or been in the hospital recently? Ever had any symptoms like this before?
I think you should see your dr, asap.

This may sound ridiculous - but have you eaten any tollhouse cookies? I was just readng about a huge recall in tollhouse for the same symptoms

This may sound ridiculous - but have you eaten any tollhouse cookies? I was just readng about a huge recall in tollhouse for the same symptoms
No ,but I think it was something I ate at work  I am going to work later ,and going to see if anyone else called with these symptoms

I had a stomach bug around Thanksgiving that caused bright red rectal bleeding. I went to the doctor and they said it was caused by the virus that I had...they told me to come back if it didnt go away when the virus went away...
I dont remember what stomach bug I had but some people that my DH works with had the same one with the same symptoms...

It is finally going away 24 hrs ! What you said makes me feel better b/c it has stopped so it propably was a virus !
