Very bad sunburn
Lets just say stupid moron that i am fell asleep in the sun on saturday at smithpoint beach and i also walked for an hour and a half looking for someone, But they were back at the campsite, I guess i had a taste of what its like to be a mother, Even though i'm not one because i was worried sick about this person.. But my question is besides aloe what can i do to take out the stinging of a sunburn, Its not comfortable sleeping at night...Thank you!!

Re: Very bad sunburn
soak in a warm bath w/ 2 cups of baking soda
i've also heard that applying yogurt to affected areas, let it dry and rinse with cool water. The enzymes in the yogurt help soothe the sunburn.
Feel better!

Re: Very bad sunburn
if you spray vinegar on it while you are in the shower and let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse with cool water, it takes the sting out of it. I have sprayed the vinegar on after the shower also, but you do smell like a salad!

Re: Very bad sunburn
also I have found if you put whole milk on the sunburn in the shower and pat it dry it takes the sting out. Also aspirin helps take away the pain as well as the banana boat aole and vitamin e lotion.

In addition to what others have suggested, what about Solarcane?

Re: Very bad sunburn
plain yogurt... make sure it's nice and cold. sounds gross but it does help!
also, if your eyelids are burnt, cold tea bags really help.
also, the aloe stuff and keep moisturizing!

i have done this before and it works, i used white vinegar. i also poured vinegar in a bowl and soaked paper towles in the vinegar and then let the soaked towels sit on my skin and you can actually feel the heat coming out and it takes away the burn.
solarcaine is also very good.
feel better!

Re: Very bad sunburn
Def try the pain yogurt. I did that last time I got burned and it really did heal it pretty quickly.
