IBS/align?
Does anyone here use align for IBS? Did it help? I have been taking it for maybe 2 months now. I don't know if it really helps yet.

Re: IBS/align?
I've been taking it for about 3 months for IBD and it helps. It helps with bloating most of all for me.

Re: IBS/align?
I took it to help with pains and bloating from IBS / lactose intolerance, and Align made the pain so much worse, there was one day I literally couldn't get off the couch. I couldn't sleep some nights, the pain was so bad. I just thought it was my IBS acting up, but about 4 days after I switched from Align back to regular ol' Acidophilus, I felt 100x better.
If you look through reviews on Amazon and other sites, you'll see that about half to three-quarters of people have improvement with Align, a pretty large number felt no change either way, and about 10% or so did worse on Align. I was part of that 10%. I gave it a full 30 days and it never got better. I just couldn't tolerate it.
On the plus side, I think the Acidophilus is making me feel better. Haven't had severe pain or bloating in over two weeks, and that's a record for 2009.

It's a pro-biotic for any digestive issue. I saw improvement for a while but now I'm having medical issues that need to be addressed differently. I'm on antibiotics so I take it to avoid a yeast infection as well.

Re: IBS/align?
My doctor recommended it but I read mixed reviews so i didn't try it. I purchased something called Florastor instead, based on positive reviews, and it really seemed to help.

Re: IBS/align?
I had stress-related digestive problems and my doctor recommended align, loads of fiber supplements and avoiding dairy.
I'm on my second month of align. Because I made three changes at the same time, I don't know which one has the strongest effect. Whatever it is, it's working.
Btw, I buy it from Amazon on a monthly subscription and I've also seen it at Costco.

Re: IBS/align?
I thought I didn't see a huge difference while taking it. Until I ran out and stopped. I see a difference- I have much more gas, bloating, constipation alternating with diaherra, etc. I need to get it again. It's just so darn pricey!
