anyone who recently had the flu shot

Was your arm super sore right away? I had the flu shot this morning and my arm is killing me! It literally hurts just to lift my arm up. Putting away groceries was serisouly painful.

Re: anyone who recently had the flu shot

I've had it before and sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't. It's always a bit sore afterwards.

I've iced the area and took tylenol. It was never bad enough to call the doc though.

Maybe I'll try to ice it while DS naps, but since I'm preggo I wouldlike to avoid taking a pain killer if possible.

Yup.....it always happens to me. My dr. says to use warm compresses the first 24 hours and it helps.

Sometimes if your arm is not loose when you get the shot- it hurts. Try ice. Feel better.Chat Icon

It was sore. It depends on what kind of needle and how far in they went.

I haven't had the flu shot in many years but in the past my arm got very sore. I plan to get the shot again this year.
