Cell phones for work

This is more or less another rant.

I carry a cell phone for work. I am not "on-call" but I am in the field a lot so it's a way for people to reach me.


I had a staff member literally call my cell phone EIGHT times in the matter of about 10 minutes, leaving 2 voicemails that she needed to speak to me and it was not an emergency issue. This was after I had already spoke to her already once that morning about a non-emergency issue with a client, I explained to her I was in the field all day and I would not have time to follow up on their issue most likely until the following day.


I picked up on the 9th ring and told her to STOP calling my cell phone like that. I also complained to her supervisor and she got a talking to.

Anyone else work with anyone like this?

My personal cell phone is constantly bombarded w/ work calls. I understand if it's an emergency or urgent, but the calls I get are neither. It's infuriating.
