Update with me
On Tuesday, the day after I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum at seven weeks, I had my beta run. It was up to 13,000. I went again Thursday, and it was 15,000. Not that encouraging for a turnaround. I am going for a sono Monday. Meanwhile, I'm that awful "limbo" period that a few of you have mentioned. Not yet miscarried and just waiting, but still told to act as though I'm pregnant just in case. Meanwhile, all I want to do is drown my sorrows in something strong! The sono from the initial episode did show some blood near the baby's sac, so that is the start of miscarriage. I guess now I just wait. Still spotting very very lightly, still brownish. How long did it take for those who experienced this to miscarry naturally?

I'm sorry you're in limbo....its the worst. I mc naturally and I spotted very lightly for about 4 days before the full on bleeding started

Re: Update with me
I am so sorry you are going through this. I was in that awful limbo too...and it's horrible.
I started spotting on a Wednesday and I miscarried on Saturday. I was 6.5 weeks along. In addition to non doubling betas, my progesterone numbers also dropped, so I think that may have sped up the m/c process for me.

I'm so sorry.
I didn't go through the same thing as you, but I did m/c naturally and it took about a week for the bleeding to stop. It was so much heavier than anything I've experienced.

Re: Update with me
I also had a blighted ovum...the limbo is horrible. I know what it feels like to want to drown your sorrows...once I knew that I actually miscarried I certainly ate and drank anything I couldn't when I was pregnant out of spite..lol...but for now just wait so you know you did what you could.
I know how horrible it is This board helped me through so much. If there is anything I can do please let me know.
Keep us posted

Re: Update with me
I am sorry you are going though this.. I had the same exact experience with my first m/c.. I was in limbo for a month.. I wanted my body to miscarry naturally but it wasnt happening so I eventually got a D&C. The limbo is the hardest part...I am so sorry, please fm me if you have any questions.:

Re: Update with me
My "limbo" period was 2 weeks. At 6 weeks I was diagnosed but after waiting 2 weeks and nothing I decided to take the misoprostol (sp). They didn't know how long it could've taken for somethign to happen on its own. I had no spotting. I'm so sorry that is such a difficult time.

Re: Update with me
thanks so much girls....i just had another sono. this is one week after the initial diagnosis/initial sono. Still no change, according to the tech, but I'm waiting to hear from the doctor. when she calls, i'm going to ask about the meds b/c it's been a week and I don't know how much longer I can emotionally walk around feeling half pregnant.
