pre term labor/ t-pump?
So I've been in and out of L&D all weekend for preterm contractions. I'm 23 wks 5 days PG with twins. I was put on indocin first and stillhad contractions 2 to 4 times and hour for 2 days, so I went back on sat and got terb shots and procardia and it almost didnt work I was 5 min away from getting admitted and getting steriod shots for the babies lungs and magnesium to stop the contractions, I was soo scared that the magneiumwould hurt them and or be delivered at 24 wks its way to early! . but the procardia fianlly worked enough for me to go home thank god. Anyway I went to see my dr today and now I;m starting the terbutaline pump and home monitoring tomorrow. Is any one else going through this? I felt so crappy witht the terbutaline in the hospital I can only imagine how my hearts gonna race with being on it nonstop. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Re: pre term labor/ t-pump?
I was put on procardia, I took it every 6 hours for a few weeks, and then every 4 hours when the contractions started coming back.
I got two shots of terb one of the times I was in L&D, but my oB didn't want me to go home on it because he said there were too many side effects (mostly cardiac). The procardia kept my contractions under control until my sched. c-section date.

Re: pre term labor/ t-pump?
i am 28 weeks preg with twins and have been having mild contractions for a month. I have been taking the terbutaline in a pill form. i dont think its really working cause i still have the contractions. my ob says its ok for now because i am not dialated. BUT when he examined me yesterday he said he felt a head and that scared the crap out of me... does that mean that this baby is too low???
