Exercise after d&c

So, I'm having a d&c wednesday. Doctor said to limit strenuous exercise, but I'm a yoga teacher. To be safe I took off this week wed-saturday and plan to return to teaching monday. does that sound safe?

Re: Exercise after d&c

I think after mine, the doctor had said bed rest, no strenuous activity for 48 hours. Then no bathing, swimming or s e x for 2 weeks. You will probably still be bleeding though so I guess it really depends on whether or not you feel comfortable but physically I think you should be fine. I was in no pain what so ever at any time after the procedure. I thought Id be all achy but right after we left the hospital, DH and I went out to lunch and ran errands and I was totally fine.

Good luck and again, Im so sorry you are going through this Chat Icon

Re: Exercise after d&c

My D&C was a little different than others, but I think what Lisa said is good..You can ask your doctor but I think it's what you are comfortable with...as for pain or anything like that i don't think you need to worry by the following Monday...

Re: Exercise after d&c

I had my D&C on a Tuesday. Thursday and Friday I had severe pain and passed large clots. Not fun. By Sunday, physically I was back to normal. I hope everything goes well. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

yes, sorry LOL, I should have wrote no baths duh...doctor said no soaking in a tub or swimming. I think because you could get an infection.

Also I wanted to add, I saw OP wrote they passed big clots 2 days after the procedure. I did too. I didnt write that because i wasnt sure if that was normal but the same thing happened to me. I actually thought it was my period.

I hope you have an easy, speedy recovery!! Chat Icon
