E-reader users- Question!
Ok let me start by saying that I am usually pretty averse to change. I love books, love the feel of holding them, turning the pages, etc.
Having said that, I just ordered a Kindle. I was able to get a great deal on one, and since I'm going to Hawaii in a few months, I thought it would be easier than shlepping 10 books on the plane with me.
So my question is this. Honestly, how difficult is it to get used to reading from it, as opposed to an actual book? Is it really different? How long did it take to get used to? I've been against getting one for a long time because I love actual books so much, but I really want to try to use it. Any thoughts?

I love actual books too. I got a kindle at the end of September- and I have to say that I LOVEEEEEEE it. Its not hard to get used at all (at least it wasn't for me!)
I just started commuting and taking the LIRR to work every day- and the kindle has come in very handy!

Re: E-reader users- Question!
it didn't take me any time to get used to at all and i love books as well. i find now that i hate reading regular books and would much rather use the kindle. it's much easier to hold imo.

It took me about a day to get used to it. I love it. I am an english teacher and think all my students should have kindles!

Re: E-reader users- Question!
Once I got my reader, I never missed carry around books. I read more since I always have it with me. And honestly the screen doesn't bother me at all. Maybe the first day it took some getting used to, but it is really worth it.

Re: E-reader users- Question!
I have an e-reader and because of the way the page is, I don't miss a book at all! Plus, I love the fact that it just saves your place when you shut it off or close it - I am always losing my bookmark
