We didn't do gifts for our 1st anniversary - we went on a trip to Europe.

1st anniversary is traditionally paper so I got DH tickets to for one of the comedians he likes. For me, he preordered a book that I really wanted and had been waiting for for over a year. It was coming out the next month so he gave me the preorder confirmation form and a gift card for that amount.
