ugh yea, I am torn about what to do......

I don't want to use up days like this but I refuse to drive in if it's not safe- I did that twice last year and literally prayed my whole way to school!

Oh and since Bloomberg already made his decision SO EARLY .... is there any way he can take it back? Maybe have a delayed start? Or am I just grasping at straws?

I work in a special ed preschool that follows the NYC school calendar, so I had to come in today. I was outside at 6:20, and was digging out my house and car for about an hour. I got here only 15 minutes late, which is no big deal. Most of the teachers and therapists are here, but none of the administration! It's hilarious. So glad I bothered to make the effort.

oh thats real nice! got to love it!

I ended up taking the day. DHs school was closed and I typically leave at 630 on regular days but Im 6 months pregnant abd Dh would of had to go out there really early to shovel and clean off my car and it just wasnt worth me taking the risk

I went in. I teach in Eastern Queens and live in Western Suffolk. Getting there the LIE had tons of snow on it, but getting home was fine. There weren't enough teachers to cover all the classes, so basically they were combining classes all day.
