Allergy testing?
Has anyone ever gone through allergy testing?
If so, what was it like? I am sure it's not fun because you probably get stuck with a lot of needles.
I am going to an allergist on Wednesday to ask them to put me through allergy testing and wanted to know what to expect. Thanks!

It's no big deal. I've done it many times. Sometimes thety do it in groups and sometimes all at once..sometimes it's just a pin prick, sometimes it's tiny injection. It's not big deal. The most annoying partis waiting for 20 minutes while your arm reacts tot he allergens and you are SOOOO itchy and can't scratch.

Agreed. It's not as bad as it sounds. They just scratch the surface of your skin. No broken skin, no bleeding, etc.
The place I goto has a small plastic guide - they line up all of the irratants on there and they just pull it over your skin all at once. So it's not like if you test for 10 things you have to go thru it 10 times.

it's just a needle to the first layer of skin - it doesn't hurt at all. i've had it done and my 9 month old just had it done and she didn't flinch..
