Will I be scared every-time...

I get pregnant now? Am I going to check my underwear for blood for nine months next time? I don't want to have anxiety while I'm pregnant but now I'm sure I will.

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

I feel you. I feel the same way. I want to get pregnant again. but it's very scary when you lose your first one. You just think to yourself "will this happen again??" It's normal. But don't let it stop you.

I had a missed miscarriage.... so I'm scared of it happening again... and there being relatively no signs of it. I didn't have any bleeding at all. We found out at a routine dr appt. So I'm incredibly nervous for the next time. BUT we are still going to try and all you can do really is hope and pray for a better outcome.

I had a miscarriage in Feb, and am currently 8 weeks pregnant. I will admit I have checked every piece of toilet paper for blood but I am starting to feel confident enough to stop. Losing a pregnancy is tough but my dr has said numerous times that the odds are in our favor.

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

Before I had my M/C both my sisters' went through one and when I found out I was pregnant with DD I was the tiolet paper inpector the whole nine months.

I know when I am ready to start trying again I will be nervous more because of the M/C. The worrying I feel will always be there around, just don't let it rob you of the excitement when you become pregnant again.

My twin sister's 1st pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and it hit her so hard because all of our friends were pregnant and ready to give birth.

My MIL had an eptopic pregnancy also.

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

For me, miscarriage has been traumatizing. But, I've also had three. I dont' think I'll ever be able to enjoy pregnancy believeing I'm home free until I have that baby in my arms. Then I'll truly understand what a miracle is.

I too believe its going to be a whole 9 months of being scared...and it's sad...but you will always have to remind yourself that the odds are in your favor. Doesn't help much...just sucks...

I will admit the first tri is terrifying after you've had a MC. And I had 3 MCs in a 6 month span so when I got PG with this one, I was a nervous wreck until probably around 18-20 weeks. I think once you have the anatomy scan you start to relax a little bit. Happy to say I'm 33 wks now!

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

I just wanted to let you know that I too m/c and now I am 24 weeks with this pregnancy.

Do I feel differently because of the m/c? Yes, I constantly worried every week in the first trimester about how the baby was doing. Now it's a little less, but still. A miscarriage changes you. I always say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I

Unfortunately, i think we all will have that fear.

After having a miscarriage it really does rob you of the excitement and feelings of getting That Positive Pregnancy Test! I do think once you get pregnant and it progresses you will become more relaxed.

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

I had a miscarriage in late August this year when I was 11.5 weeks pregnant. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately the worry never goes away but does lessen. Once I had my 12 week sono it got a little better. I still find myself checking the toilet paper and worrying when I don't feel him move but I think every new mommy gets worried like that. Miscarriages are one of those unexplainable things, nothing you did wrong. Please FM me if you ever want to talk.

Re: Will I be scared every-time...

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I had a missed miscarriage in July. No bleeding, no cramps, nothing. I am pregnant again now, going on 21 weeks. Every twinge I felt in the beginning put me into a tailspin. I still find myself checking my underwear in the bathroom.

At around 13 weeks I decided I was not going to miss out on my pregnancy by being scared to death. So I've tried since then to "go with the flow". It's hard as hell sometimes.

Unfortunately I think it's only normal to be scared and question everything after you lose a pregnancy. Hang in there and Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I understand! I lost my twins at 17 weeks pregnant. I went into labor and had to deliver two stillborns. It's been only 2 months but it feels likes yesterday.Chat Icon

DH and I want to try IVF again soon but I'm so scared to go through that again. At 17 weeks, I just assumed I was in the clear. Chat Icon
