Preschool moms or BTDT...
What is/was the Student-teacher ratio in your child's 4 y/o program?
Next year DS will be in a 18:1:1 class, which I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with. So I'm just curious what the average is. Thanks.

I think ours is 16 kids, 1 teacher, 1 assistant teacher. That is what it is at 3 and I think its the same next year.

My DS's class will have 16 kids and 2 teachers. When my DD was in PreK the class was 4 girls and 13 boys. It was not pretty at first. 13 boys was hairy! It turned out to be a great group of kids when they worked it all out but I think they learned their lesson. Do you know the mix of boys vs girls? Even if you have a boy, having an even mix is better for the overall tone of the class. Sure girls can be feisty too but generally an even mix is ideal if they can do it.

Ella goes to school with the brat's son  , so we've got the same ratio going on. There are 13 kids enrolled, -the class size varies by day, but its always nice & small.

Alex is in the 4 year class this year - hebrew immersion in the AM, regular class in the PM.
For hebrew immersion two teachers, nine kids.
For regular class it's two teachers, 12 kids.
I think 18:1 is pretty high.

27 kids; 1 teacher; 2 assistants. 
I have to say, I wasn't thrilled with the situation in September, but let me tell you...this teacher is AMAZING! When I tell you you can hear a pin drop, you can hear a pin drop. My DD has learned more than I could have dreamed of this year. SO happy!

On the days where all the kids are there it's 16 kids to 1 teacher and 1 assistant teacher.

There are 17 kids , one teacher and 2 parent helpers, it is a cooperative preschool.

I believe the cap is 12 for the class with 2 teachers. Even now in nursery, one of the days she goes has 6 and 2 teachers.

My son's class has 14 children and 2 teachers (1 lead and 1 assistant teacher). He had about 16 in his class last year and still 2 teachers.

My oldest was in private and now my youngest will attend the same private school come August. The class size never exceeds 10 and there is one teacher and one paro-pro.

In DD's school now, there's no more than 15 kids, but not every kid goes every day. Some MWF, some TuTh, and some only a day or two. Most days it 1 teacher, an aide and app. 10 students.
Not sure yet of my DD's pre-K (4) next Sept. I would think it will also be small since its a private school.

DS's daycare and UPK classes are both 16:1:1
but daycare is usually less, since some of the kids go to UPK in AM or PM)
